La canción "Take my breath away", sacada de esa diarrea cinematográfica de "Top gun" supuso una bendición y a la vez una maldición para este trío, Berlin, ya que la gente no vio más allá de dicho tema. Podían haberse fijado en la tonada "Sex (I´´m a...)" donde TERRI cantaba eso tan dulce de "Soy una diosa, soy una virgen, soy una puta, soy una geisha, soy tu madre, soy un rollo de una noche, soy una bisexual, soy una esclava, soy una droga, soy una ramera, soy una zorra". Buena letra, sí señor. Aparte de eso, el grupo fue endureciendo su sonido a cada disco que grababan, llegando a contar incluso con Ted Nugent como guitarrista invitado. Tras la separación del grupo TERRI grabó un disco en solitario y estuvo a punto de grabar material con la gallinita JOHNETTE NAPOLITANO, Tras un largo silencio, reapareció como dueña del nombre del grupo (era la única componente original que quedaba) y mucho más sexy que nunca. La cadena VH-1 intentó reunirlos, pero no funcionó.

The song "Take my breath away" was a blessing and a curse for this trio, Berlin. That was the hit single recorded for that load of shit that was "Top gun". People did not seem to go beyond that ballad. They could have listened to other tracks, such as "Sex (I ´m a...) where TERRI sang sweet things like "I ´m a goddess, I ´m a virgin, I ´m a bitch, I ´m a geisha, I ´m your mother, I ´m a one-night stand, I ´m a bi, I ´m a slave, I ´m a drug, I ´m a hooker, I ´m a slut" Yeah, nice lyrics. Every album the band recorded was harder and better than the one before. They even had Ted Nugent as a guest guitar player. After the breakup, TERRI recorded a solo cd, and was rumored to record an album with Top-grade gallinita JOHNETTE NAPOLITANO. After disappearing for some long years, she returned, as owner of the Berlin name (she was the only original member left)...and looking way sexier than ever. VH-1 tried to force a reunion, but it didn´t work out.

He aquí una prueba de cómo el término "vintage" puede significar "oro puro" para unos, y "estiercol caducado" para otros. Este video, de 1984, lo encontré en una tienda de Miami casi 20 años más tarde a un precio ridículo. Sólo dura 20 minutos y muestra la época más chunga de Berlin, y no tiene ni nombre. Here ´s proof that the word "vintage" can mean "pure gold" to some, and "outdatted scum" to others. I found this home video, released in 1984, in a store in Miami almost twenty years later, for a ridiculous price. It lasts some short 20 minutes, does not even have a name, and shows the band during thier least-inspired era. Even so, a true gem. (Click on the photo to enlarge)

Esto son los dos cd-singles de "Fall into Heaven". Sólo se vendían a través de la página web de TERRI (por lo que entiendo que ya serán imposibles de encontrar) y supusieron su vuelta a la música tras estar desaparecida durante ocho largos años. Son ediciones limitadas a 5.000 y 3.000 copias respectivamente. (Haz click en la foto para verla aumentada)

These are the two parts of the "Fall into Heaven" cd-singles. They were sold exclusively through TERRI ´s webpage (so I assume they are pretty impossible to find these days) and put and end to her eight-year period of silence. They are limited editions of 5.000 and 3.000 copies respectively. (Click on the photo to enlarge)

Este cd recopilatorio se llama "Take my breath away" (¡qué original...) y lo que están ustedes viendo es la version china. Aparte de la cajita típica que incluyen casi todos los cd´s chinos, no hay mucho que contar, la verdad... Pero cuando te lo venden por 1 Euro, pues lo compras, claro...

This compilation cd is called "Take my breath away", (whoever came with that title really squeezed his/her brain) and what you see here is the Chinese version of it. It comes with a protective box (as most of the Chinese releases) and there´s nothing more of interest, to be honest. But when you see the Cd being sold for $1.5, you just must have it.
