MARY HUFF es la única mujer en el trío Southern Culture on the Skids, un grupo de Rock "hillbillie" de lo más divertido. Vamos, como paletos haciendo Rock, o mejor dicho, rockeros haciendo de paletos. Son una especie de B-52, pero más duros unas veces, y más country en otras. En cualquier caso no hay que perdérselos en directo si se tiene oportunidad.

MARY HUFF is the only woman in this three-piece band, Southern Culture on the Skids, a very funny band of Hillbillie Rock. They look like rednecks playing Rock and Roll, but they are actually rock and rollers pretending to be rednecks. They remind me of the B-52, with a heavier edge or a country touch depending on the song. In any case, a band well worth checking live.

Una caja con una pegatina indicando que es una edición limitada es algo a lo que los enfermos no podemos resistirnos. Esta caja, llamada "Kudzu Records presents Southern Culture on the Skids" contiene tres singles de vinilo con 6 canciones inéditas que sólo aparecen en este lanzamiento. Sólo se hicieron 1.000 copias de este artefacto (la mía es la 517...si es que a alguien le importa un carajo este dato). Cuando tenga tiempo lo pasaré a cd. A limited-edition box set is something we the sick just can´t resist. This one is called "Kudzu Records presents Southern Culture on the Skids" and it contains three 7 inches vinyl singles, for a total of six unreleased songs, that can be found nowhere else but here. Only 1.000 numbered copies of this baby were made (mine is 517). I´ll transfer this to Cd when I have the time. (Click on the photo to enlarge)
