Imagino que ustedes son personas muy ocupadas (aunque si están leyendo esto...) así que iré directamente al grano: Pata negra para empezar. Lo primero que grabó JOHNETTE NAPOLITANO: Cuando Concrete Blonde todavía no existía, y el grupo, con otro batería, se llamaba Dream 6. Pues bien, aquí se puede ver las tres versiones distintas que vieron la luz. La primera es la versión PROMO que se hizo de tal cd. O sea, una copia de las que no salierona a la venta. Muy rara. La segunda versión corresponde con una RE-EDICIÓN publicada recientemente en cd, con un tema extra (Obviamente, es la versión menos rara. Uno va a la página web de Concrete Blonde y la trinca, previo pago). Pero si lo que se quiere es algo más raro que Rossy de Palma en Vespa, vayan al tercer icono. Se trata de la antigua versión en VINILO de dicha obra. Lo más extraño entre lo extraño. Y encima firmado por Jim y JOHNETTE ,¡No hay pieza más buscada que ésta en toda la colección del grupo, señora! (Haz click en la foto para verla aumentada)

I guess you are pretty busy people (but if you are reading this, maybe you´re not so busy after all...). Anyway, I´ll get to the point right away. JOHNETTE and Jim had a band (with a different drummer) before that developed into Concrete Blonde. That band was called Dream 6, and they got to record an album. Well, you can see here the three different versions made off that album. The first one is the PROMO cd: That cd was never ment to be sold. Pretty rare indeed. The second version is not rare at all. Just go to the Concrete Blonde official website and pay for it. It´s the RE-RELEASE on cd, with a bonus track. But if you want something rare, rarer than Charlie Sheen in a good movie, then go to the third icon. That´s the old VINYL version of such album. The most unique among the unique... And signed by Jim & JOHNETTE! It just doesn´t get any rarer than this! (Click on the photo to enlarge)

Estos son los dos videos ORIGINALES editados por Concrete Blonde: "December 16, 1896 - September 17, 1990" y "Midlife crisis". Recientemente han sido re-editados juntos en un dvd llamado "Still in Hollywood". Antes de dicha re-edición llevaban años descatalogados y eran material altamente buscado por los freaks del grupo. En el año 2.000 pagué unos $ 90 por cada uno, y estuvieron tres años más subiendo. Supongo que con el dvd editado ya no valdrán tanto. O sí, quién sabe. (Haz click en la foto para verla aumentada)

These are the two ORIGINAL home videos recorded by the band:"December 16, 1896 - September 17, 1990" and "Midlife crisis". They recently have been put together on a dvd under the name of "Still in Hollywood". Before that dvd was released, these home videos had been out of print for ages, and were much sought after stuff by the Concrete-heads. In 2.000 I paid around $ 90 for each one of them, and the price kept increasing for years. Now that you can just buy the dvd and watch it, I guess they are not worth that much anymore. Este es el cd "Sketchbook", que está trayendo a muchos fans de cabeza. Sólo se podía comprar desde la página web de Concrete Blonde (y parece ser que en algunos conciertos). El caso es que sólo se editaron 1.000 copias. Hace unos meses (Abril de 2.005) ya se pagó $ 250 por una copia SIN autógrafiar en Ebay. Mi copia, por supuesto, trae su firma y su numeración. O sea, que vale más pasta aun. La chica de la portada es Johnette cuando tenía cinco añitos. Para saber más sobre este cd, recomiendo leer la inteligente entrevista que le hice a JOHNETTE. This is the cd "Sketchbook", the one many fans are going ape over. It was only sold through the Concrete Blonde official website (and it seems that at some concert venues as well) Anyway, only 1.000 copies were edited. Some months ago (April 2.005) somebody paid $ 250 for a copy withOUT any autograph on Ebay. My copy has the signature, so make that at least $ 300. The girl on the cover is JOHNETTE when she was five. If you want to know more about this release, you could read the interview I had with her (Hell yeah! I want to read it now!!). It´s too bad that even though I also had a golden marker with me when the sighning took place, all the cd´s were autographed in black, and now some signatures are hard to spot. When I became a Concrete Blonde fan, in 1.990, I never believed in my wildest dreams that I would ever see the band live. Meeting JOHNETTE personally, and getting to have an interview with her was beyond Science-Fiction. But that actually happened!! And what did I find? A woman who was very extrovert, great to talk to, with a great sense of humor, joking two minutes after having met, and that even asked me to keep in touch when it was time to say farewell. A true Wonder woman. We did keep in touch, and now have a quite close relation, having seen each other when JOHNETTE was in Spain. I´d like to thank the drummer Gabriel once again for being so nice and extremely helpful to me. An excelent guy.

Cuando me hice fan de Concrete Blonde, allá por 1.990, no hubiera podido creer, ni jarto de morcilla de Burgos caducada, que algún día llegaría a ver al grupo en directo. Conocer a JOHNETTE en persona, y poder entrevistarla era ya pura ciencia ficción. Antes le daban un Premio Nobel a Yola Berrocal. Pues fíjate tú por dónde, que el sueño se hizo realidad. ¿Y qué encontré? Pues una mujer muy extrovertida,con un enorme sentido del humor, que a los dos minutos de conocernos ya soltaba bromas, y que me pidió, cuando llegó la hora de la despedida, que siguiéramos en contacto (cosa que hacemos). Una auténtica maravilla. Aprovecho para, una vez más, agradecer al batería Gabriel toda su ayuda y simpatía. Un gran tío. Después de esto hemos pasado a ser amiguetes, e incluso a vernos cuando JOHNETTE pasaba por España
