En 1990 me encontraba yo haciendo una visita a unos amigos en Michigan, cuando una mañana pasé junto a la televisón en el momento en que la canción "Joey" estaba sonando. A pesar de no prestar atención, al rato me di cuenta de la supina calidad de ese temazo. Días más tardes lo volví a escuchar, y esta vez tomé nota del nombre del Grupo: Concrete Blonde. Compré el single, luego el cd entero... y 15 años más tarde sigo siendo fan enfermizo del grupo, en general, y de su líder, JOHNETTE NAPOLITANO, en particular. Una mujer que no ha parado de experimentar, y que perece decidida a seguir haciéndolo. En el 2.005 cumplí dos de mis sueños húmedos: Ver al grupo en directo (en un pequeño club de Londres), y hacerle una extensa entrevista a JOHNETTE. Solitos ella y yo.

In 1.990 I happened to be in Blissfield, Michigan. One morning I walked by a tv set when the song "Joey" was on. I did not pay attention at first, but after a while I realized that was a hell of a great tune. Some days later I heard the track again, and this time I wrote down the name of the band: Concrete Blonde: So I got myself that single. And after that, the entire cd. And 15 years later I am still a sick fan of this band´s and specially of its leader ´s: JOHNETTE NAPOLITANO. This woman has not stopped experimenting through all these years, and it seems like she has no plans to quit now. In 2.005 I had two dreams come to reality: I saw the band live for the first time (in a small club in London) and got the chance to have a long & personal interview with JOHNETTE.
