Ante ustedes, el sueño húmedo de cualquier fan de The Cranberries. Ni más ni menos que el EP (en casi perfecto estado) "Uncertain"...firmado por toda la banda en rotulador bien gordo. Tan raro que el propio grupo me preguntó cómo lo había conseguido, y por cuánto. ¡Sólo existen 1.000 copias en el mundo! ¡Y este encima está firmado! Y lo que es mejor...¡Es mío! ¡¡MIO!!. There you have it. The wet dream of every Cranberries fan: a copy (in almost mint condition) of their first EP "Uncertain"...signed by all four members in thick blue marker. The best part is not that there are only 1.000 copies available worldwide, or that it was personally signed in front of me, or its great condition; The best part is that this album ...is mine! Even the band asked me how I got it and how much I paid! (Click on the photo to enlarge)

Una de las piezas que conseguí que me firmaran DOLORES y Feargal tras una entrevista radiofónica a la que pude asistir...como único integrante no-periodista del público (no pregunten cómo) el 28 de Septiembre del `01. Se trata de un cd single de "Ode to my family (live)". Incluye un pequeño póster, que también firmaron. (Haz click en la foto para verla aumentada)

One of the items I got Feargal and DOLORES to sign me after a radio interview, where I was the only non-journalist member in the audience (don ´t ask how I made it there...) on Sept. 28 `01. It´s the "Ode to my family (live)" cd-single. It includes a small poster, also signed. (Click on the photo to enlarge)

			Este es el cd-single "Loud and clear" (CRAN 01), que venía, junto a unas postales, incluido en el "Tourbook" de 1.999. Incluye 4 temas en directo. Realmente ignoro si es tan raro como creo, pero yo lo meto por si acaso... This is the "Loud and clear" cd-single (CRAN 01), that came, together with some postcards, with the `99 Tourbook. It includes four live songs. It might not be as rare as I think. Whatever. I will stick it in here, just in case.



	Este es más raro que un Dj con buen gusto. Se trata de "Preserved. The story so far" (MCAR-25537-2), un cd promocional que recopila 10 temas de toda la carrera de Cranberries. Bonita portada. This is as rare as a Dj with good taste. It´s "Preserved. The story so far" (MCAR-25537-2) a promo-only sampler-cd that compiles 10 songs from all the Cranberries albums. And cool cover, by the way


			Una de las ediciones del cd-single "Salvation" incluía esta caja para ir coleccionando los siguientes singles. Muy chula, aunque era relativamente fácil de encontrar (ahora ya no tanto...) One of the editions of the "Salvation" cd-single included this box to keep the following singles together. Very cool, though kind of easy to get (but probably not anymore)


	Aquí tenemos un par de versiones chinas. El primer cd es "The best of". Tiene 20 canciones, incluyendo la cara-B "Reason" y comprende desde el primer disco hasta el "Wake up and smell the coffee". Los títulos tienen erratas para alicatar tres cuartos de baño. El otro es "To the faithful departed". La foto que se ve es en realidad la de la caja que incluyen la mayoría de los cd´s chinos. Una vez fuera de la caja, la portada es la misma que en el resto del mundo.

	Here we have two Chinese editions. The first one is called "The best of" and includes songs that range from the first cd to "Wake up and smell the coffee". There´s also a B-side thrown in there: "Reason". The song titles are full of typos (as usual in Chinese releases) The other cd is "To the faithful departed". The picture you see is the "box" that wrapps the cd (most of the Chinese cd´s feature this box). Once you take out the cd, the cover is the same feature worldwide.

			Mi primer encuentro con DOLORES no pudo ser de una forma más extraña: Yo iba andando por el pasillo del avión cuando alguien sale del baño de repente y casi me da con la puerta en la cara. Y cuando aún me estoy reponiendo del susto veo que es mi irlandesa favorita, que iba a Málaga a pasar unos días. Ese día conseguí mi primer autógrafo de ella, y su tarjeta de embarque. Me confesó que estaba embarazada, y entonces yo, como buen fan enfermo con sentimientos, le compré del duty-free un osito de peluche para el futuro bebé. Cuatro años más tarde, cuando nos encontramos por segunda vez, le comenté esta historia, y confesó no recordar nada... :-( o sea, que no fui lo suficientemente freak. En este segundo encuentro, aparte de autógrafos varios, nos hicimos nuestra primera foto juntos (que puede ser vista en primicia mundial junto a este texto). Como se puede apreciar, estamos en un estudio de radio (y al fondo asoma el batería Feargal, que era muy majete). ¡Madre mía por qué nadie me avisó de que mis gafotas eran tan feas! (Haz click en la foto para verla aumentada) La tercera vez que nos encontramos fue en una rueda de prensa presentando el recopilatorio "Stars. The best of 1992-2002". Esta es la ocasión de la que guardo mejor recuerdo. Aparte de firmarme la foto antes mencionada, conseguí que el grupo al completo me autografiara el EP "Uncertain" (sólo 1.000 copias en el mundo, oiga), y fotos con los otros miembros del grupo, con perdón. Como ya dije en la breve biografía, DOLORES tiene fama de mala leche, pero lo que le pasa es que no aguanta a aquellos periodistas que no tienen ni puta idea del tema, que son la mayoría. Para ahorrar espacio web y ventosidades de gran magnitud, no comentaré las preguntas que pude oir en la rueda de prensa antes citada. The way I first met DOLORES could not have been more bizarre: As I was walking down the aircraft aisle, somebody suddenly opens up the restroom door missing my face by very little. I was still recovering from the incident, when the door closes to reveal no other but my fave Irish woman, who was going to Malaga (Spain) to spend some summer days. It was then that I obtained my first DOLORES autograph, as well as her boarding ticket (now that´s quite a fetish). She told me she was pregnant, and I, as a sick joyfull fan, bought a teddy bear from the duty-free for the baby. Four years later we met again at a radio station, and she confessed that she remembered nothing about that flight :-( which proves that I was not enough of a freak after all. At least that day. During this secont meeting, apart from some autographs, we got our first picture together taken (which can be seen here on the left) (Click on the photo to enlarge). On the background is drummer Feargal ´s head popping out. A nice guy, by the way. One more thing, I no longer wear such awful glasses. The third time we met was during a press conference promoting the compilation album "Stars. The best of 1992-2002". This time I really got it made: Not only DOLORES signed the picture I just wrote about, but I also got my copy of the EP "Uncertain" signed by the four members (I´ll say it again: only 1.000 copies worldwide), as well as other pics with the other guys. As I said under the "Quickie bio" , DOLORES has quite a bitchy reputation, but as far as I ´ve seen, she only acts bitchy when there is a stupid journalist or critic around...and there are just too many of those! To save web space and keep myself from farting I won ´t mention some of the silly questions I heard in that press conference...
